I have seen it also but I think it is more related to the currency that is not regulated by the SEC as like ElioCoin.

I doubt this has to do with shorting the stock. There's not enough of a price swing or volume to make it worthwhile. I think it's just being manipulated to keep it above $3 just because that's a psychological thing where people use amounts like that. Pretty much anything along the lines of $1 to $10 even though it makes no difference if it's $2.90 or $3.10 vs $3.40 and $3.60.

The 15th was when ElioCoin with private investors was trying to rise 25M and they more than likely fell short. Since then it has dropped and the only playing field is short selling and potential investors in small amounts.
