There is an old saying "if your standing still your falling behind". Elio is standing still. In this case, no news is bad news.
I think they need to restart the reservation counter and actually promote the vehicle to the public again. Show the investors that there is still demand. Bet if they got the reservations up to 150,000 to 250,000 the financing would happen quickly.

It takes lots of money to promote and that's something Elio does not have right now. When they get the money, they will start promoting heavily. Until then, all they can do it keep working their butt off to get that financing.

Well, I offer another idea. WE ... US ... Those of us who has a investment both out of our back pocket and emotionally. Elio has no money for promotion. But, WE have an army here. We live in every state in the Union. Think about what we might be able to do. Get your self some T-shirts made & wear them, get those old flyers out and display them on your car, for $10.00 bucks you can get some business cards made with your name and eliomotors.com and your email and this forum's address. There is plenty we can do.

The problem I see with US/We promoting the Elio is that Elio themselves are not currently providing any feedback on reservation numbers. Even if you successfully get a large number to put in reservations you have no way of knowing that. Sure, Elio might say "Thank you" in one of their Momentums, but until the reservation counter is active again there is no easy way to build on that success. The new reservationists want to see that number climb for the "good feeling" they are making a decision that others are also actively a part of. Sorry, but the current 65,000 (us) only show a bunch of dreamers who are patient and hoping something will happen soon. The reservation numbers haven't changed in years. In other words, Elio currently has a static counter and it needs to be dynamic.

If the reservation count ticker was the only problem holding you back from getting involved, then I will remind you that you have an investment in this. It is more difficult to swim backward than to swim forward. This forum is still active, as so are the other forums. Count the active people on the elio sites. WE can promote with or without a ticker.

HEY Sailor, ALPP stock freaked me out yesterday and the volume was high too. 21K - 66K traded. That is not small change or just monkey is see monkey do. 103K traded last Tuesday. Something is happened. It might only the other projects ALPP is involved with and not elio, but heck it looks good.

Here's what Elio says:

In addition, as we achieve subsequent milestones in the development of the Elio, customer confidence increases. Accordingly, we expect to see surges in reservations as the following milestones are achieved and announced: completion of prototypes, testing results, confirmation of mileage, hiring at the manufacturing facility, and, hopefully before production commences, scarcity.

If look at the SEC filing, you'll see that Elio will be getting $110M in new reservations all during the 76 weeks that they have on their official timeline. Plus 76 weeks from today is 2/13/2020.

It looks like that reservations will be stagnant until they start hitting milestones. This makes sense because anyone that checks out Elio today will see little press and anything recent is not positive at all. They have to look back around 2015 and earlier to see the flood of good PR. I can see lots of people interested but not pulling the trigger and many have forgot about it. As soon as Eliocoin funds the operation, the tide will turn and the number of reservations will surge. At that point, then spreading the word about Elio will actually do real good and people will follow up on it as opposed to being nice and telling you that they will look into it then forget about it. It's much easier for people to be interested in something when they see real progress on the actual product. As per what Elio says, they realize that too.
