You can get a paint job like that for around $3K to $4K
If you had a wrap done at a regular shop, and not through EM it would run you around $2,700

So it's not that bad.
Once I know what the car colors actually are, I'll probably get a partial wrap using the existing color for most of the car. I figure that should cost no more than $1800, if only because there's significantly less material for an Elio than for a standard sedan.

Here are some more wrap designs by Silas Sunday. These just happen to be ones I like; there are many more aggressive ones that he's done. The man is a fine designer, and does this for love -- a true amateur in the best sense of the term.

It may be less material, but it is more work; and it becomes a custom cut and made wrap.

The Wraps from EM are $1,700

Something like that could very easily be computer designed & cut and sold in "kit form". Similar to the factory graphics on Dodge Chargers and Boss Mustangs. Something similar to that (in my area), would cost less than $1k* including cost of the kit.

True, but they are solid color. No pizzazz. And from the configurator, we have no idea WHAT color -- which is where this end of the conversation got started.

One of the hardest styles there is to do correctly; especially in white and sometimes black.
But you can get away with things in black that you can't get away from in pure white.
Can you say some more about that? What do you think of the black one with the matte gray panels and the orange pin striping?
