Trunk Size

I got to wondering what the actual trunk size is, in relation to my own lack spatial concepts. This came about as I was looking at some pictures of it, and seeing people looking at it with the trunk lid open.

With the back seat up, you can basically stick a "Banker's Box" in length wise, with about 12" leftover.

This is merely an observation, I was just wondering what you would actually be able to put back there if you were toting a passenger along for the ride.

I realize we're not carrying the kitchen sink in these vehicles, because hey, that is not what they are designed for!

Just so you know, I am seriously jonesing to get mine!

First aid and roadside emergency kits, jumper cables, and a can of fix a flat. Should still be room for my lunch box.

in looking at the shape/size of the trunk space, I believe that packing in duffel bags will be the best option for us

Doing some quick math...The way I figure it, If you move the seat forward just 1", I could fit 2 (4' x 8') sheets of 1/2" thick plywood! ..........Cut into 1' wide x 4' long strips.
