when it comes to towing, just when you think you've seen most everything, something new comes along
===> <===
just think what redneck engineering can do once they get their hands on an Elio .. :cool: ... you may have to click on the black screen

Now there's a wreck just huntin' for a place to happen. Check out the attitude on the rear end of that Tahoe, the clip doesn't last long enough to see if he could stop at the end of the parking lot! LMAO

The true redneck part seems to be the fact they didn't move the tail lights.

I have several vintage Vespa's and one thing I acquired is a 1950's era Pav 40 single wheel trailer. Its a small, single wheeled trailer that was manufacutered in Czechoslovakia for many years. It attaches with very little structure needed and tows great.

I would love to see one of you photoshop gurus attach one to a silver Elio with black stripes or a black Elio with silver stripes to the back like the black and silver one pictured below, so I can know what mine might look like if I go with that paint scheme.

Also there is a company that is selling a modern version of them at:
http://www.inderexports.com/sidecar/trailers.html. I know there are many in the U.S. being sold.

Here is another one, its a little pricey but more modern:
http://uni-go.com/

Also another good single wheel trailer web site is:

Neither are mine.

You need to repost this to AriLea's "3D Model" thread. He's doing some amazing work modifying his original "base model" with different wheel, and wheel fairing combinations. The trailer should be no problem.

Just in from Charlotte. Confirmed by the tour team by the EMOA: towing will void the warranty

Q) --- clarify the question about a trailer hitch: feasible? Will it somehow void the warranty?
.
A) Towing is not supported by Elio. Doing so without Elio having tested nor approved the vehicle for this would void the warranty. Jerome mentioned something about the legality of towing, but I don’t remember the details.

I happened across a company that builds replica 'car' cargo trailers. It would be interesting to see them build an Elio Trailer to pull behind the Elio.
