If you are correct, then we can be at 40,000 by the end of September. Now wouldn't that be fantastic. . . . . 3 months ahead of time. Wonder what that would do to Paul's bowels? o_O
Okay, that WOULD be an interesting bit of info, if you can find it. If Ya do, please share it with us.It would be interesting to know, just how many cars the first years production was slated for & at what point do they stop ( if at all ) taking pre-orders?
I want to say that Mr. Elio was projecting 250,000 a year like 5 years out from the start of production ( at least that's from what I can recall ).
Would be great to log 50,000. Pre-orders before Christmas!
Ok now I'm going to look up what the most pre-orders are for a new model car
I know this is a very different car but according to this article the Tesla Model X has over 12,000 pre-orders and Tesla is trying to slow that down due to the worry about delivery delays. http://cleantechnica.com/2014/08/08/tesla-tries-slow-model-x-reservations/It would be interesting to know, just how many cars the first years production was slated for & at what point do they stop ( if at all ) taking pre-orders?
Really, Tesla? Hmmmm. . . . . Really trying to "slow down reservations," or is that the best they can muster?
