Just strap that 30 pack to the roof! I've seen people attempt crazier roof transports than that before! Who hasn't seen a Honda with a king size mattress on the roof barreling down the highway in the fast lane before!
And risk losing my toilet paper? I Don't Think So! LOL :-) Z

My thoughts/comments can mostly be found here.
Great pictures and comments. It's nice to see pictures that aren't the same as the canned pictures you get on the Elio site. That trunk does look tiny. Maybe P5 will address that a little. Most people will want to put a backpack or workout clothes, or something back there. I don't want to lose the rear seat either. There are times when my wife and I end up going on a mid length trip without the kids and I'd like to be able to take my Elio!

Um... Why not leave the back seat upright and throw the 30-pack back there? If a 6', 200+ pound person can fit there, a measly 30-pack of tp can. ;)

Also: Thank you for the new, great angles on the pictures. Maybe the trunk concerns and people's "tight" feeling in the backseat are why the P5 is rumored to be adding height to the rear head space? That would alter the line of the trunk space as well.

PS -- I don't mind the trunk being propped. It seems small enough to not be a problem to lift. The only reason I prefer those hydraulic things on my current rental is the trunks on modern cars are heavy as heck when those hydraulics go out. And, hey! One less moving thing to break! More durability for the Elio. :)

True, Inigo93. I can almost see a removable roof/trucklid option making it kind of Jeep-like. Well, as far as being kind of roofless, anyway.

[edit: I meant removable roof/trunklid so with the windows down, it would be almost a full convertible which is a lot like Jeeps with their rollbars and open top]
