I just can't wait to drive my Elio to the Elio store when it comes into my area. 6800 for base car, 1500?? for options cost, 700 for delivery,72 for MC license, 300 for MC license class, 100 for new title , and whatever insurance costs are

AND 8 to 11 % SALES TAX on that purchase.
So $9 to $10,000.00 is looking more like the bottom line.
But look at the gas saving UNTIL Uncle Sam starts taxing you for not using enough gas. LOL

about 10,000 reservations X $1,000 per reservation = about $1,000,000 .... that doesn't include whatever has come in from the other roughly 20,000 reservations + money from investors + store sales profits + whatever else .... legitimate or shaky, put it all together and this isn't a little league operation

plus another 20,000 reservations x $100 per reservation = $2,000,000
for a total of $12,000,000. Not the same as $30,000,000 but not chump change either.

I am pretty sure some of use will be disappointed...Those of us that don't have reservations! By then, people will already have most of the next years production reserved...at the "new higher price." I think that I will be kicking myself, too. Wishing I had reserved another one!

You still can and if you act quickly you can still get the $500 savings.

Like those the purchased the first model T or the 1903 HD. Some times life requires you to jump. Jump in jump out but do something regardless of risk. This is one of those times. If we do not want Japan ,China, Korea ect to control everything we drive we have to give ELIO a chance to make it go.
This could be the modern Model T. Once we get one home it is our turn to make something out of it. There are those of us that take a brand new Harley apart the day it comes home to make our own. What do you think we will do with The ELIO. The tool box is in the staging area let the mods begin

The statement is true, and GM still lives with the stigma of their junky vehicles from the 70s and 80s, as do the other big 2...I got burned by Chrysler and will never buy another one....

For those that don't feel comfortable with making a non-refundable deposit.......but like the Elio........make a minimal refundable deposit.......at least you are on the reservation list and showing support.

Delivery? I'm taking a rental car to Louisiana. Mc license? Not 300. Insurance will be less than 100 per month, especially if u are adding it to a car policy. Sales tax? I hope I can pay my 6% here and pick it up there.

The MC license class in my area costs 300, not the license
