If you were going to wear test an engine, some serious hours have to be put on it, even for accelerated testing, after all, they need to simulate years worth of wear. 6 months would not be unreasonable. I seriously doubt we will hear much about it for another few months at least.

I hope the engine doesn't rotate at all. I'm not buying the Linda Blair model.

Every engine I've ever worked on the last 20+ years has had a clockwise rotation at the crankshaft as viewed from the front of the engine.

I've done a lot of work on Hondas and Acuras. Not intentionally but it just worked out that way. Anyway Honda V6 engines face to the right and turn clockwise as viewed from pulley end. Honda I4 engines face to the left and turn counterclockwise. Keeps things interesting.
