I've never seen a modem like that, it must be one of the first. I bet you can download a LOT faster now!

That’s a great modem. Since it’s a 14.4, I bet his new one is 56k. Way faster.

I wish my modem lasted as long as that starter... I seem to only get 2-3 years out of a modem. This new one was a bit challenging attempting to configure it. Initially, I was getting an "Upstream" error, but I think I've got it fixed (as I was able to upload a random picture).
My girlfriend and I are very dependent on internet access, as we stream 99% of the television we watch. We "cut the cord" many years ago. Although this "Upstream" error didn't affect our ability to "downstream" and watch movies, etc. I still needed to get it fixed so she could use the computer/internet for a "Zoom" call with her doctor next week.
