On my brother's newer Mazda, they only warn you when you signal to change lanes.
Would we receive detailed information like that? I have noticed anything sold over the internet does not have much detailed information.

The old mail order catalogs of years ago had more detailed information about products than today's internet.

Just to be different from you, I put mine on the outside corner of my mirrors! :boink:

All kidding aside, those little mirrors are worth every penny they cost. And they only cost what, $2 or $3?

I am going to install the blind spot mirrors. I am just having too much trouble explaining to my wife how an entire trash truck was in my blind spot when I backed out of the driveway. She insists that if I couldn't see it, I should have heard it. Can someone help me create a plausible explanation?

I find that adjusting the left, side mirror out until there is a slight overlap with the rearview mirror eliminates the blind spot altogether.
I've noticed that most people (my wife included) adjust the side mirrors so that 50% of the view of the side of the car, and the other 50% is showing what you already see in the rear view mirror. In other words, there is no useful information shown in the side view mirrors.

Yes, I understand the Elio has no rear view mirror, but it is also so narrow that if you adjust the side views so that the car is just barely visible, there should only be a blind spot just behind the tail. Other than that, the view from left and right mirrors will cross over each other a few feet behind the Elio.

My Fiat is the first vehicle I've owned with backup sensors, and I have really learned to appreciate them... Especially with the top down, which blocks a lot of the view.

The best explanation is the truth. If somebody doesn't believe you when you tell them the truth, then the only solution is to continue telling the truth in all things, until they trust your word as truth and stop questioning you.

Excellent advice, but no fun at all to follow.

The only time my wife questions my word is when Math is involved, and that's because she doesn't trust Math. Once you get in the habit of it, telling the truth becomes almost addicting. I am not burdened by the weight of my own words, and my best friend trusts me implicitly. It's hard to beat that.

I tried explaining this to my daughter, (a compulsive liar) the more you lie, the more you have to remember.

I've told other people, bosses included, I stand to lose more lying to you, than I would telling the truth.

And that's true with anything.
