They have said that the Marshalling center can do the work later, so they can do it; or you might be able to do it on your own, depending on how mechanically inclined (aka talented) you are.
Most of the work will be installing the sensors, and adjusting it.

I own 8 cars and 4 of them do not have carpeting. If things go according to plan this weekend, I will own 9 cars and 5 of them will not have carpeting. I can live without carpeting very easily. While rubber floors formerly were common years ago, there is a higher standard these days. People will expect carpeting, or at least something.

Perhaps EM should offer as standard, form fitting rubber mats, or better yet, carpeted form fitting rubber mats.

These may still cost money to EM, but I suspect the vast majority of the public will go ahead and pay for full carpeting.

This way EM and the vehicle retain a dignified look and it really won't cost EM much.

What about cruise control?

We have consistently received tons of emails asking about the availability of cruise control: it is probably the "option" that has created the most amount of emails and comments. We took these comments to heart, and then to engineering to see if they could fit it in as standard equipment. And... drumroll please... they did! We are excited to announce that cruise control will come standard in your Elio.

For $40 you can do your own custom carpet.
80" automotive carpet is about $18 a running yard, plus padding $10 can of Spray glue $8
Couple of hours, done.
No hump to deal with, so it's an all flat install.

Is anyone getting the lighted threshold? It is $110. The feature descriptor sounds like the only thing it does is to light up the "Elio" logo.
