From today's Momentum:

"Backup cameras are an increasingly popular accessory and Elio owners who want to completely eliminate the small blind spot will be able to do so through our ePlus: My Elio, My Way option program. Along with many other options that we will announce leading up to the start of production, we plan on offering a rearview camera for full visibility."

I have a backup camera in my Nissan rogue - would be lost without it.

Here.s one available now... https://support.pearlauto.com/hc/en-us

I wonder if they'll use an invisible antenna built into the windshield rather than the non-existent back window. There wouldn't be much cabling involved which fits into the "less material = less money" formula.

They're still around; my neighbor's Buick sedan has one. I got to meet the inventor of the windshield antenna when I was young. His name was Otto Schmager; he was a relative of the guy who owned the auto electric shop that I worked for at the time. O'l Otto was quite a character... ;)

Here's another one available now:

Anyone getting this one can send me the $472.01 they saved! :) (this one is only $27.99)

Speaking of backup cameras, check out this little snippet.

The National Highway Safety Transportation Agency (NHTSA) announced a new rule in 2014 that will require vehicles built from May 1, 2018 on to have a back-up camera. The rule applies to all road-legal vehicles under 10,000 pounds.

Now, it doesn't say "Cars" under 10,000 pounds. It says "road-legal vehicles". The Elio will be a road-legal vehicle. I'm just saying...
