Where I live there are speed bumps that I don't believe the car can get over without dragging bottom. I might be able to make it with some luck though. Most people fly over them anyway.

It should have no problem, it is normal height. Here is what Elio says about it

No doubt that is part of why the exhaust is in a side-mount pod now. Speed bumps won't be a problem. My sports car has less clearance and I rarely scrape on a speed bump. Sometimes crabbing across it at an angle helps.

I think it may make it. I know the low nose on my son's PT Cruiser catches it sometimes and on occasion, my Gold Wing will drag bottom on the lowest height setting.

I agree with you...Sometimes when sitting around waiting it is easy to over analyse.

Very good question. I was pondering this as I was driving through the parking lot at the local grocery store. The bumps are very tall and narrow - [think of a racing cam] they are designed to slow a vehicle to 5 MPH or less.
My F-250 laughs at them, but I couldn't help wondering if the Elio might high-center on one.
But they can't be more than 4 and a half inches tall, so hopefully the Elio should glide over them with ease.

I think the big thing with the Elio will be potholes. You sure won't be able to straddle them...
