Just an update. I have now been seeing a Solo coming out of a housing district with-in 1 mile from my home. And it's a red one, so I'm guessing he's proud of his little thimble car. No business writtings on the side so it appears to be a private ride.

If I see some other colors, then I will guess some private sales are happening. If I see any with commercial writting that will say something else.

It's hard to tell how sales are going.
They sold 93 Solo's as of Feb 2022, and 32 in those two months. All before the factory was fully up and running.

So late last year(2022) the Pizza experiment was on. We have yet to find out if that inspired more sales or not....

Understandable how difficult it is for ElectraMeccanica and Arcimoto to expand regional sales and service, while attempting to prove market demand needed to justify the implementation of scaled production plans and the millions of required funding.

Early on ElectraMeccanica had a manufacturing partner in China and shipped a few Solos to the USA. I wonder if that Chinese partner is still manufacturing Solos for the Chinese market?

When the building was first finished mid-2022, the row of garage doors were open and the floor was mostly bare.

I was by there a few times later. The building was by then occupied with workers in the offices. I even talked someone to give a few prints of my Atlantric to seek interest. Lance Greathouse now has my Atlantic tooling in the Phoenix area.

Lately, I had not looked in the windows around the shop floor. But given they are selling vehicles I will guess there is activity in there. Sometime I will run back past there and try to get a look-see. To be honest, I drive with-in half a mile of that factory twice each week-day between my work and home.

The older, temporary office, a couple buildings over was closed to re-rent to new tenants.

Arcimoto has a 250,000 sf manufacturing plant in Eugene, OR with the capacity to produce 1000’s of FUV’s and FUV platform models too, but the current rate of production is up to 6 units per day. That’s 2 1/2 years after the start of production. Disappointing progress, but understandable. I assume Meccanica has a similar new vehicle start up funding, sales and service roll out dilemma. I wouldn’t consider buying either vehicle until there was a servicing option nearby……dealer service center or mobile techs.

I have to say, when he closed the door it sounded really solid, it had that nice "thump" when I hit the strikers, same goes for the rear hatch.
I wasn't expecting that at all, but it did sound good. Not that "Tink" you would expect from a car (ok vehicle) of that size.

The Solo is no more, it has been canned.

Bicycles are the only single seat vehicle to have ever succeeded, and one of the reasons is you can ride along with a friend chatting. Single seat motorcycles, planes, cars, etc have never had successful sales. They never learn.
