Yup, which is why anyone who has read that 2008 document has thought their goals were unrealistic - and also probably why that investment meeting flopped.

I certainly did not hear a time frame for the 250K/yr and you can most assuredly believe that Paul didn't have year 1 in mind wen that was said. I hadn't heard the reservations number but as of last Thursday 4/26 I was told that reservations would cease at 40,000.
Did you notice Elio Cancelled it's Louisana and Alabama showings yesterday,,, The same day of the news article about Elio not getting the GM plant?

Elio postponed Louisiana and Alabama showings so they could get the Elio to NY for the Fox & Friends show. They will both get full weekend shows later in the summer to make up for the two cancelations. This information is on the Elio Motors website under the News Tab, Events.

So what about this one idiot commissioner down there, she can't throw a monkey wrench in to this deal, can she? I read a facebook post by her and apparently she is totally against Elio.

And they call themselves "afficianados," who "apparently have conference calls" with Elio.

I myself have admitted, on several occasions in different threads, that I support Elio, but have at no time claimed to have had any technical knowledge of the elio, other than what I have read on their official sites and from what others who have gone to the Elio Events have gleaned from those events. I did, however, write a post in jest the other day, but "apparently" it wasn't received well.

Also, I have not put up money yet, but my wife and I have spoken on several occasions about this vehicle, and once we are through our issues we are dealing with, yes I will be all in on two.

I will say, however, that those who have technical knowledge due to their own mechanical jobs/experience (towing capacities, drag coefficient, etc) have taught me much. And for that, I thank them, truly.

On the other hand, I was once a fan of the PT Cruiser, and the PT Cruiser had an actual forum, that had actual Chrysler Reps, who would give actual/factual info on the PT Cruiser as it was being developed/produced. I dropped the idea of owning a PT Cruiser for various reasons.

A little personal history of me: I have two uncles retired from GM, two uncles retired from Chrysler, one uncle retired from Federal Mogul (pouring pistons for those vehicles) and my father used to work in Chrysler in 1969, paint shop, painting and being the first to drive some of the most powerful vechiles Chrysler ever produced.

So no, I am not nor have I ever claimed to be an "afficianado," I would call myself an "enthusiast" if I were to label myself. I have very little technical knowledge, but I do my own general maintenance with my limited mechanical skills.

The PT Cruiser was the only 4 door car I've owned, kinda liked them , had an 05 and an 08.. However as much AS I had to have one when they first came out I waited , dealers were charging about 10k over sticker..When I decided to buy they were dealing down to bare bones price.

I really don't know what is wrong with that women or if she has some kind of other motivation for being against Elio Motor but she does have it out for them. She has made a lot of noise and caused a few delays along the way but so far appears to standing alone. Her arguments appear to be over the former GM plant but that makes no sense to me as Elio Motors does not hold the lease and instead the property is being leased to IRG, a company that specializes in redeveloping these types of properties. IRG holds the lease and is solely responsible for it regardless of whether or not Elio Motors ever takes up residence there. IRG and Elio are closely related in that the founder of IRG is an investor and board member in Elio Motors but that does not change the fact that IRG holds the lease and is responsible for it.
