He must have been bullied as a kid...I hope not but his negativity and behavior must be his way at getting back to those who does not like him or worse yet....compensate on what he's lacking....you guys probably already knows who's in charge in his house!!! Yep... that was easy! Just kidding.

My step daughter lives in Shreveport, not far the Elio plant .I have been asking her about the place.plan on picking mine up there. no news yet

I spoke with Don at the Columbus Ohio show yesterday (6/20/14) and he stated that although the sun IS shining on the horizon for Elio Motors, any activity in Shreveport is still a ways off due to upstart $$$$$$ (But, he did say things look brighter at this point than was anticipated )

I asked about paddle shifters for the transmission and was told "in the interest of cost" it will not be an option

Also, another res holder at the show is an insurance agent, and stated that the insurance industry would look at it as a motorcycle and insurance premiums would reflect this

I ask because late next week I will be driving near if not through Shreveport, LA and would like to get a first hand look at where our vehicles will be built. I can't deal with coordinates in my GPS so I'm asking for a street address or a "nearby". The only photo I've seen of the factory is the one with the temporary Elio sign out front. If I can get in position to take any worthwhile photos I will do so and when I get back I'll post them here.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on seeing anything. The next prototypes and or production models aren't being built there, and until they know what the final model will look like, they can't very well tool up to make it, so I would guess you won't see any of Elio's 25 employees there, but you never know. I would be happy to hear they have a production engine completed. But that isn't happening there either.
