Agreed. We need to give them time to actually DO SOMETHING that is newsworthy. They just wrapped up a week at LA and that wasn't enough for you?
You would have been in deep do-do a couple of years ago where it could be months between updates; emails maybe once every 2 to 3 weeks, and the news we got was very limited.
Ask anyone that been on here that joined in 2014 or early 2015 how now compares to then.
I'm tickled that we get so much more now.
All we know for sure is EM says reaching the 65k will contribute to the ATVM loan process, and that they will end the guarantee of $7300 or less, as well as the $7k for those who 'commit'.So what happens when Elio reaches their goal of 65,000 reservations?
I think the data is too short term. At least a years worth of data is needed with a product which has an annual sales cycle. 4 months is a good start, but I wouldn't be too concerned about a drop off in the winter months. I believe it's typical in the automotive cycle.I have kept a little reservation spread sheet, starting in August of 2015. For the running month going from 11/07/2016 to 12/05/2016, the daily reservation average is 35 reservations per day. At that rate, 63 days of sales will be needed to hit "Sold Out", which translates to February 6, 2017.
The first entry in the spread sheet that has a daily rate computation is 09/07/2016 with 6,636 reservations to be sold. The daily reservation rate was 85. Since September 2016, the sales rate has dropped over 50%. Not good.
