I did do some pricing check on hats before (embroidered) and the price wasn't bad, but they want a minimum order or anywhere from 50 to 100 units as a base order. To do 10 or 20 of them makes it a custom order so you have to pay a premium price for them.
The Embroidered hats are all multi-head machined; so they lay it out on the computer, load the hats, and push a button. The load and unload are the only steps that require human interaction.

Im sure with a little work we could generate 100 people to invest in ElioOwners hats. I'd buy one. It's a start.

I'd rather see it be an Elio Owners store item under Steve's control. What we could do is mimic Elio Motors and the DOE and have a poll to see how much market acceptance we would have for the hats. Before anyone jumps the gun, I think a target price range should be a part of the poll and also printed vs embroidered.

Absolutely. That was the one (printed) that was getting my vote.
The cost per piece on that one with the two color EO logo and text should be $2.89 x 144 = 416.16 + $100 for the 2 color set ups = 516.16 / 144 = $3.58 each. Better figure shipping on top of that since I don't see "Free Shipping!" anywhere on their pages.
