Not sure about not driven by any Brit....but I don't think it's as original. It appears that someone has put the "wrong" engine in it, if it's as advertised.
A Reliant Regal should have a 700cc OHV engine, and that is what the UK registration system says that actual car originally had when it was over here (the 748cc came later, in the newer Robin, like the red one parked next to it).

I'm thinking if we can get it to barrel roll we might start a fad like drift racing in Japan. The Clarkson guy from Top Gear could only get it to roll onto it's side with impunity, almost that is.
