Regarding Taxes And Incentives

Perhaps we should just have a breathing tax too? The tax would be used for reducing air pollution.
Carbon Dioxide isn't typically considered a poison and is, in fact, necessary for green things to grow. If you crap your pants, on the other hand... Well, the fertilizer is fine but the methane isn't so great.

We could tax the bean industry then.

I would oppose any tax based on mileage. It's an archaic system that unfairly punishes the working class. Everyone benefits from roads rather they own a car or not. Roads should be funded from general income tax.

General income tax?........too many tax loopholes for the millionaires and billionaires. Pay at the pump, the home EV Charger outlet, or when licensing your vehicle classification.

It would be easier to make it means based, which it needs to be

We need a flat tax for EVERYONE.....including all businesses.

Sadly, a “Flat Tax” is an unattainable dream. Realistically, it’s political suicide in Washington!

Our country‘s political system is based upon random taxation. Meaningful tax reform seems to be unobtainable. Too many special interest groups, and that’s just a fact of life!

But damn, this is a great country we live in! A few taxes here and there never hurt anyone! I’m proud to pay my fair share!

Perhaps partially funding it by an "everyone" tax but the people using the roads the most are also causing the most wear and tear. If I rent out my home for one week, I can't expect the people who rented it for one week to split the tax burden (or yearly utilities) evenly with me.
