Purchased A Ford C-max Hybrid

Read reviews till my eyes hurt. Like most hates on one end unearned love on the other. The middle ground put it at a toss up with the Toyota 5. I would not buy a Toyota myself. GM is out of my life forever .
Did good on the price loaded it up with likely to much stuff but what the heck. Picked it up today. They had to put the interior and paint treatment on it we wanted and do the rust proofing package.Put another 50 miles on it. Was showing 42 mpg when we parked it.
What I do like is the interior all leather and done well. Rides great and handles well. getting Payton in and out is a dream come true. Sense taking it for a demo and then buying it 300 miles we put on it. Wife and I both took a long vacation. So after the holidays it will get a good work out back to the normal day to day stuff.

Normally when I buy a new bike or car. The hardest part is picking color Normally purchased are planned events we know it is coming. This was a wake up call, that we were getting older and so was Payton. You know going in what the price will be takes 10 minutes to do the deal. Purchased many bikes and cars over the phone from the dealer.
The C-Max was a new experience. Sifting through all of the negative reviews and the over hyped ones. I read one where they said if battery went dead you could not unlock the C-Max no key. Well that was not true . When I found the middle road reviews of people that own them and drive them the gripes were minor things . Most things like touch screen points were to small.
Trouble with syncing phones some time. The Navigation system did not work like their XXXX one did.
if they keep working on it maybe these hybrid can fit in for some people driving even outside the city. One thing for sure we are about to find out.
I still want my ELIO to play with. granddaughter and daughter both keep asking me when it will come.

The Sync system has gotten a lot of bad PR since it came out for not doing what it should. Here's a non suprise: it was co developed by Microsoft. What could go wrong?

Personally, Im a caveman. If I have a radio and Rand McNally, I'm in good shape.

It's a habit I picked up rather than listen to the drone of a big diesel all day long. You really don't need to hear em anyway, you can feel em.
