With a grand child in a wheel chair the cars just did not cut it anymore. I took a C-max on a two day 250 run around doing the things wife normally does, Of course she was with us. I was surprise my wife liked it. She does not warm up to new vehicles well.
Payton loved it she did not get knocked around loading her in and out. In fact when I returned it the first thing the 7 years old ask is where is the white one. She wanted it back.
Well she got it back I pick it up Monday. For a vehicle it's size we got 41.5 for the 250 miles. that include 70 mph driving and city . Driving where it does its best we got up to 45.6.. Weather was between 28 and 45 degrees. Thing has power if you want hit the fuel it will run. Rides great handles very well.
About the only option I did not get was the sunroof. It think wife will like it. Never though I would buy a hybrid. Any other non hybrid that had the room and size doors we needed was in the 20-25 mpg range. Gas is low now but it aint staying there.
Did my home work but was still a bit unsure of this choice, put the 9 year 140,000 mile extended covers everything warranty on it. Full protection treatment inside and out . So a new experience begins.
Still hoping to see the ELIO someday. Cash still sitting in the ELIO account wait for it.
If one this size can get that mileage and still move a Hybrid ELIO should get 120MPG. looks like now I will really be looking for and Other car.
