No Speed Limit

this link will take you to slide show about the few places in the world today there are still a few roads where it is legal to drive at whatever speeds conditions permit .... I'll never get the chance to drive any of them but would sure love to try a couple of them ..

Just noticed this thread. Unfortunately Kansas was not on the list...but it should be. That is one mind-numbing trek acrossed that state. No offense to our KS members, but man I hate that leg of the trip to CO.

Handed it to him, thanked him multiple times, and went on my way.
How fast was I going? He told me "I clocked you at 75 after you slowed down"

LOL! Yes...but unfortunately, even when you hit the "Welcome to Colorful Colorado" sign, you've got another 2+ hours of what looks exactly like Kansas.

Please forgive me if I'm amused. I live on exit 877 off I-10. If I choose to go to El Paso, then this old saying still applies:

I grew up just northwest of the I-70/I-25 interchange. I can concur with your observation. Lots of 'roadtrips' to Cheyenne, WY for fireworks.
