Order #100000715 - Complete
Hello, I am an insider to Prudhoe Bays oil fields in Alaska's North Slope. I am a heavy equipment Specialist and Mechanic for a large equipment rental company there.
My desire is to take the Elio. (Mine). On a documented drive, not only up the Yukon Highway through Canada's Wilderness, but on the Alaskan Haul Road. This is the road you see on Ice Road Truckers! I work right on the Arctic Ocean. Furthest road North In the USA. I will equip my Elio with on board cameras x4, Brush Guards, Nerf Bars and Massive LED driving lights.
Are you on board with me, do you want the pictures and videos of the Elio parked by Huge Rig, by the Arctic ocean, surrounded by wildlife or at the very end of the Dalton Highway?? I would love to talk with you about the trip...

That would be cool. I haven't been quite that far up. The road in my picture is Dalton Hwy between Fairbanks and the Arctic Circle. Only went as far as Arctic Circle, my Dad was on his big Gold Wing, didn't think we should go all the to the North Slope with it. That was a few years ago.

Sounds like you would be the 'perfect' one to answer.... "How does it handle in winter?"...... let us know what they say. EM probably wants to do a little 'lower 48' testing.... before they release it on such an 'epic' journey!

I would love to see your photos, I am so looking forward to our delivery date. I went all in last Sept. up in San Francisco #1609. One of my other toys is a 1990 Goldwing SE. I put a voygar kit on it so now it has 4 wheels on it. I've got 135K miles on it I love it.

I'll tell you what I would like to be in the passenger seat. It would be a fun trip with some beautiful pictures along the route. Honestly I think that Mr. Elio should take you up on the deal. I believe that Mr. Elio will be considered a Hero coming up with this noble automobile. I can't wait to see one parked in my yard.

Home is Fairbanks (40 years) and will be headed up the ALCAN via Toyota pickup truck this Thursday. Your order number is around 3000 ahead of mine. Have spent a couple nights at the Prudhoe Bay Hotel. Drove the Toyota to Prudhoe last summer with two "Bikers". Thinking about riding the R80 up this summer but seem to have a time crunch.
Picking up my Elio at Shreveport and driving to Fairbanks is part of the plan. The 400 miles of some "good road" and some "real rocky road" from Fairbanks to Prudhoe will be a fairly good test of Elio's durability!
Oh, better buy a spare windshield. If the Dalton doesn't produce flying rock wind shield cracks, the ALCAN will!! Deep tire treaded 18 wheelers can really fling rocks!

Thanks for all the replies folks.. I have only received one response from Elio so far, not to encouraging but I am still hoping he acts on the trip and at least helps me with the wear it will acquire on the trip. With all the changes going on in Prudhoe as far as new energies and CNG, I would think he would jump on a chance to show he really cares. Things are changing fast up here.. I pulled the trip once in my Autobahnd Miada, Anchorage to Prudhoe in 17. hours, in Nove
