good to hear .... I was wondering the same thing .... I was a bit concerned that the shifter bracket would rub against the outside of my right leg
I am a fidgety person, I hate being uncomfortable or things touching me, other than females, and I instantly notice these things, yet nothing. I hate things dangling from a car key touching your knee for example.
The worst is no floor to rest my foot on for clutch operation, that I noticed, and the throttle travel is too short, I noticed that in the donor car when I drove it, barely moves an inch.

Looks like fun. Congratulations. I voted no on the poll simply because I want/need an automatic.
I haven't found an auto suitable yet, so would be wrong of me to promise it at time of writing the poll, but of course I will find one suitable, so not a big deal!
I will mentally add 66% to the "YES" vote later to account for fans of automatic (60/40 split manual/auto that I am aware of), but you are right to vote "NO" at this time.

I voted yes because I could drive either, but the wife would prefer an automatic. I only need a very basic model, I could even do without a/c, my motto is "the more gadgets, the more things to break".

I just wanted to mention something about the price of sub-$10,000 that I have always maintained I will adhere to.
Today I see yet another case of a product that was promised at a price, an EV electric car to be sold in Australia, and now announced as it's getting closer, that it will be more expensive, and the customer base is quite angry about that.
I have a good idea the price point I can meet, but would be silly to go about making price claims and then come in at a higher price, so I won't put myself in that position, but lets just say for argument's sake, that I am keeping myself safe by a wide margin.
