Motorcycle Help Needed

My daughter inherited (along with her hubby) a 1959 Panhead Harley. The bike is complete, but there are enough parts for a second configuration. The bike is currently in storage in NH. The only pictures immediately available are less than wonderful, but I'm attaching them here.

She is moving to Korea for a couple of years starting in Feb. They need to dispose of this bike, but pricing it is being difficult. Can any of you folks suggest how to get it sold and how to get the best price? They want to have the eventual buyer pick it up in NH; they don't have time or cash to mess with it at this point.

If the extra parts include the original front wheel and fender, the original rear fender, the original seat, original exhaust. plus, if it runs without burning oil, you should be able to get $8,000 - $10,000 for it including all extra parts. I would avoid web sites like Cycle Trader, I've used them and they are a mis-managed joke. I would try oodle.com. I may be interested. I will start a private conversation with you concerning it.

They might also consider going to their local Harley dealer for advice - mine would be most helpful with pricing advice, and the like, in a case like this (though being in Denver doesn't help your daughter much).

I agree with the above. A couple of my friends took theirs to the local Harley Dealer for them to sell. You might not get the highest dollar but it will be less stressful.

Local Harley dealer is in Cincinnati, bike is in NH in a storage locker.

But the OH H-D Dealer might be able to give them some guidance on value, since that seemed to be a stumbling block.

I see two opposing statements. How to get the best price for it, and they don't have the time or cash to mess with it.

It's going to be difficult to get the best price for it, if they don't have the time or cash to mess with it. I would think their options are, they can entrust someone to sell it for them and get whatever price that person or dealer can get, or they can wait until they get back from Korea and sell it themselves and get a good price on it.

Know what I'm sayin'? There's crazy-makin' all over that situation.

Now you know what life with my daughter is like. The question is what's reasonable for it where -is, as-is.
