Yeah, the first thing I thought of when I saw the Morgan EV was this steampunk anime called "Last Exile". It featured all sorts of retro-futuristic flying craft (and a compelling story to boot).

I need to give that one another go. I got a couple episodes in and lost interest, but I loved the artwork.
