That one looks good and I do like the blacked out area of the exhaust. I didn't find the painted bulge area bad, but I like the slicker look here.

If you look at the large picture link, you can tell that the "bulge" area is simply disconnected (and missing the exhaust pipe that would normally be there). Since this is the HVAC test model, a complete exhaust system + the aerodynamic bulge is most likely not needed.

This is also definitely NOT the P4. The biggest difference is the tail like design, which appears updated (much more modern design, I love it!). Also, no side mirror in the picture, or even holes for the mounting.

That's almost looking like the P4 in that picture; I wonder if they used the wrong picture?

Definitely not. P4 had a clean sweep on the starboard side; the car in the picture does not.

I've looked hard and long at that photo, and blown it up substantially. The fit-and-finish are worlds ahead of the P5. I don't know if it's the switch to metal panels or simply greater accuracy in construction, but it really LOOKS as sleek and aerodynamic as the glossiest of renderings -- better, i some ways. That car turns heads! Mine for sure!

Wait, I'm confused.

The E1-D/RedDOT email includes a link to the the "build plan" for the E series (the link I'm referring to is the first phrase of the 2nd paragraph, below the RedDOT logo). That link takes you to an EM.com page dated Aug 4, 2016, where they state that the E1-D & E-1E are to be used for engine & chassis testing.

I don't consider myself an automotive expert, but is HVAC considered engine or chassis? Or have they shifted the build schedule &/or intent of what each model will be used for?
