Here's the list we came up with in another thread; it's just a list, and I didn't do any editing so if there is a repeat you'll know why.

Aftermarket add-ons for the Elio

Vent Shades
Car Covers
All Weather mats
Performance add ons
Color changes
Body wraps
Wood grain dash
A very long list of electronics
Right-side mounted bike-rack
High mount 3rd brake light
"Stylish" rear wheel cover
Markers/turn signals for back of front fenders
Fog lights / Marker / Turn signals for front of front fenders
Oh yeah, HUD

I've thought about a 3/4 steering wheel; the kind where the top of the wheel is chopped off and paddle shifters

an extra 12v outlet or two in the front.
A rear view camera "mirror" that will also play Google Maps via BT -- like this one -- http://navmirror.com/wordpress1/android-navigation-dvr-mirror/

Hill stop or Roll Control something to hold the stick cars in place on hills.

Mud flaps for all wheels.

Prism for seeing traffic lights.

Door release at back edge of door so passenger can open door.

Sport and Eco mode switch

self-dimming side mirrors --- With the thinner cabin/rear end & low mount point of the mirrors, the rightward-angled driver side headlight of the guy behind you may be right on line to blind us if they tailgate.

Ekh suggestion for Adamant
fur-lined gear shift lever and maybe some cute calico curtains to hang across the back

Added 9-2-2015

Dash "cover" or Dash Mat
Open fenders
Aerodynamic styled fenders
Wire wheels
360 degree peri-camera
fog-driving lights
Trailer Hitch
Lockable Gun safe / scabbard

I have some early estimate numbers for the Custom Digital Dash; $540.00 to $590.00 Owner installed. Choice of Red/Blue/Green/White GPS Speedo a little more.
No trade-in credit for an Elgin dash; disposal fees are looking promising.

.........."Hill stop or Roll Control something to hold the stick cars in place on hills.".............
Got a solution for that one........
Driving lessons!
When I took my original driving test in '61 that was a part of the driving test.
It was considered a basic skill.
(clue .... hand brake, clutch, gas pedal coordination)
Fail that and you failed the test.
Make a new appointment and come back in a month.

Try this one: My 1942 Harley had a foot clutch on the left side, shifter was a lever on the left side of the tank, right hand was spark advance / and the lever for the front drum brake (which would not hold all that well), right foot was rear brake, right hand throttle.
You had to remember to shift into first before your stop going up a hill (REALLY hard, no syncro's), as mentioned the front brake didn't hold that 487 lbs. of American iron in place all that well, so you have to use right foot to hold rear brake, so when it came time to take off you have a split second to pick up your left foot, engage the clutch, and start moving up the hill; a real cluster-F**** but after screwing it up a few times I got it.
That will test any one, no matter how long you've been riding.

OK! For the Elio....... come to a stop on an uphill grade.
Set hand brake.
Put into first gear.
Slowly start releasing clutch till you feel slight engagement .......
Slowly release hand brake while applying gas and continuing to release clutch .........
You would be surprised how many people had problems with the hand, left foot, right foot coordination.
Incidentally, I learned to drive in a stock '35 Chevy 1/4 ton truck then moved to a '57 Austin Healey 100-6.

Alternate method:
Foot on brake, slowly let clutch out till it begins to grab, get off brake, give it gas. Hand brakes... amateurs... lol

Trailer hitch seems popular...

Yes!.....
I just gave the method that would pass the test 50 years ago.
True. Fair enough. I'm always disappointed when the emergency brake in one of those ratcheting foot things. How can you e-brake and spin around in a snowy parking lot for the kids? Lol... I still can but it isn't as easy.

I think we ended up with the ratcheting foot things when the (so called) engineers lost sight of the purpose of the "emergency brake" and started calling it a "parking brake".
