Back in the late '70s-early '80s when I spent my spring and summer weekends driving from Minneapolis to my parent's cabin in NW IA (and back again), I got into the habit of driving in the left lane, simply because as someone obeying the 55 MPH limit I was posing as a hazard to everyone else. (Meaning, everyone else was speeding, so being in the left lane let them speed without having to pass me.) Only rarely did I have to get in the right lane to let someone past me without their passing on the right.

In most places, the signage states "Keep right except to pass". You can be ticketed for just riding along in the left lane. I've always considered those people inconsiderate people oblivious to their surroundings.

My neighbor is State Patrol for this area and he loves handing out left lane violations, he told me he writes at least 30 a month plus 40 or 50 warnings. Frequent violators? Cars or trucks pulling a trailers are also illegal in the left lane on a 3 lane road no matter the speed. Next, load not covered violations; ever since that woman had a table bounce out of a trailer and through her windshield loads not covered or strapped down always make me nervous. (Yes, she died instantly). Back to the Stater, he's pretty lax about cell phone use, unless the people are driving worse than drunks; then he'll pull them over and have a nice "talk" with them.
But the left lane violations were really a big thing when some of the local and state politico's got stuck in traffic behind a left lane lifer.

The people in the right lane are driving slower than I am. That's usually the case with tailgaters. They just want to intimidate others like any other bully. I don't put up with it and have no regard for those who behave badly just because they are behind the wheel.

I've known some of my LEO friends to pull over the lead person holding up a line of traffic and give them the works.
That includes full sobriety test...........
Full car inspection for drugs........
Full safety inspection........
All on the basis that the car was behaving in a suspicious manner.
But hey...... That's alright.
Keep on being obnoxious because you can be.
Keep saying you were being bullied.

Side Mirrors with Turn Signals/Lights

This is something that I did email the address to suggest accessories for. I would like the added visibility that this type of side mirror would add. My concern is that I have not found any indication that the mirrors on the Elio will be powered, so adding them after market could be a pain.

It's illegal to deliberately ride the left lane here.
It's also highly illegal to pass on the right on most highways and interstates here.
Plus someone deliberately putzing along in the left lane becomes a hazard at expressway entry entry ramps.
