Didn't bother me. Reviewers are not all members of the Elio Fan Base or Elioites. That's true of any vehicle and/or vehicle review. The Tesla naysayers didn't stop Tesla Motors and won't stop Elio Motors. Only Elio Motors can do that. It may provide incentive to make Elio work harder and FASTER.
As I recall Borras was skeptical early on but made some rather favorable comments later on in the process.

Simply don't mention or call attention to their reviews, gives them credibility, and fuels the controversy. EM is on a roll providing the P5 actually goes beyond rolling and starts (the Elio's literal startengine campaign) and can scream around the test track. I want to see it run the slalom course, a couple 0-60 time trial runs, and verify the mpg.

The P5 can't just be pretty auto it also has to be a badass cycle.

Battery Location question answered.View attachment 7572

Awesome Eric, thanks.

It appears the battery size is about the same as the one on my 800cc motorcycle? I see a shoe on the floor there, but there's depth perception, angles, and the fact that everything is a little smaller in size than on a car. Just curious.

I think what I was taking for a coolant expansion tank (and others have thought was the windshield washer), is actually the battery. What looked like a blue water tube in other pix turns out to be a battery cable. One mystery solved, and another one deepens!

I'd rather have a battery that looks and is sized for automotive use -- I wonder about how many cranking amps you'd get after it sat all night at 30 below with this thing.

The battery is under the hood pin. It probably goes back under the windshield. Look very close you can see the battery post. The clamp has been removed for safety.

You only need around 180 cca for the size of the engine.
I have a "lawnmower battery" in my G1 and it has been real happy for 3 1/2 years. Of course it doesn't start the engine (IMA does)
The LM battery will start my vehicle, as I check the system to start on the 12V battery at least once a year.

Have to say, I really think the stamped wishbone arms look cheap, where the aluminum castings looked really classy. Also, with this design, water will collect on top of them, leading to corrosion down the road. (go read RUST, a truly scary book).

Does that mean we can fight the battle for yellow???? Hi-yo, Yellow.
As a strong (Now prior)advocate for yellow, I get off here- Whatever the red it's got me!!! From day one when I saw the E online, I thought 20k, within 1 hour- didn't give a rat's behind milage. speed- 50+ years of biking, this is just what this body needed- I was all in, now it looks like a 25k machine!! the nose is perfect, more than I even allowed myself to visualize (then again I didn't envision the notice from her lawyer, when my dream 'vette began to slip away)
A beautiful day in Elio World!!!, they opened the 7 day window for the IPO, it won't be easy, but the kids will have to get coal in their socks this year!!
