There are two interpretations:
1. 2016
2. Oct. 1, 2016 - Sept. 30, 2017

Unless there's context which resolves the ambiguity, I would recommend rewording that statement similar to the following examples.
If Elio starts production on Oct. 1 2016 ...
1. In which year was the first production Elio produced?
2. When would the first year of Elio production be completed?

And there in lies the problem.
People trying cast things in concrete based on ambiguous answers.
I would say that the first years production would be what occurred in 2016.
(or the first calendar year of production)
That would be three months production or 62,500 vehicles at maximum rate.

OK. If Elio starts production on Oct 1, 2016, what's the first year of production?
A model year can be as short as one day, and as long as two calendar years minus 1 day. Then you have fiscal years, calendar years, 365/366 consecutive days, 12 consecutive months, and 52 consecutive weeks.

Under your statement, if they were called "2016's", they model year would end on or before Dec 31, 2016. If they were called "2017's", the model year could end on or before Dec 31, 2017. If production started on Jan 2, 2017, the first model year could run through Dec 31, 2018 if they wanted to call them "2018's". Lots of flexibility, no need to stress over it.

I just want to know where cantwait got his hands on a accessories and additional options price list from; including the tax numbers.
No hands, just brains. :) Elio has hinted at $800-1000 for the AMT. Experience tells me that just about everybody will spend at least $200 extra on a new car, whether for factory options, or for aftermarket stuff, be it air fresheners, phone holders or chargers, upgraded stereos, radar detectors, floor mats, trailer hitches, tools, flashlights, first aid kits, decals, jumper cables, service manuals, or a wide variety of cool or needed stuff. On motorcycles, the cost for farkles often runs $500 on up. Almost nobody escapes. Depends on where you live, but tax (tags and sales tax) will usually run 8% or so.

Ie, less than hard numbers, but more than wild guesses.

Oh, ok; the way you had put your list of prices up it was like you had gained access to some info the rest of us would love to get our hands on.
They may have hinted at that cost, but I don't think they ever said anything about having an MMT as standard; that is close enough to an automatic that most people should need, with the option to play "racer" with the manual shift function.
The other thing is that they have mentioned the list they currently have is not going to be the complete list; they may drop an item or two, plus add a few others as they become available.
And be glad you don't live in the Seattle area; sales tax is around 9.4%; while Portland, OR is 0%

I don't see where you guys are getting your $750 delivery fee. That's really high. Elio has said repeatedly that they're going to keep it as low as possible, and numbers like $450 have been tossed around for a long time.

In Ohio tax is 6.75% in most counties. Tags are $60 or so. But since I'll have to leave Ohio to collect my car, that travel will have to be added in, too.

I have gone to both the Elio Motors web page and the face book page.
I can not find any info. On the live feed of the unvailing on the 19th.
Any one know where this is? How to get it?

Here is a possible question:

Is it true, that with the 506 funding and crowdfunding, Elio Motors will have all the money needed to build all the E vehicles and do all testing and the only money needed at that point is money for manufacturing?
