Been thinking about this for quite a while went all in for $1000.00 on 1 September,
Number 32244. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a reservation number?
My friends all think I'm nuts and that the car looks like a death trap. Oh well, the 80 miles a day commute will look much nicer at the gas pump at least.

You can find items in the forum by using the search function to counter the arguments with your friends that the Elio looks like a death trap - built to 5-star safety standards, roll cage similar to a NASCAR, 3 airbags, etc. They won't be laughing at you when you show them how much (little) money you spend on gas each month. Congratulations Jack! And exactly what Jim H says! 84 mile roundtrip myself (I took as a sign), and went 1k all-in in July...still haven't got my number, but you can bet it'll be proudly displayed in my signature once I get it. I'm also from the Denver area, and still have family out there. I sent my brother up to Flat Irons mall last weekend for some recon. He said judging by the length of the line to sit in it, it's going to be a VERY popular little commuter!
