Got to talk to Paul Elio in Ontario. Interesting man and very approachable. People drove from N. Calif. just to see P4.
Also got to the showing in Carson. After talking to the sales team I'm thinking my Elio is going to be about $8,000 plus. $1,000. for auto tran & $500. for radio upgrade.
Also said service would be at Midas or Pep Boys or both.
$6800.00 and $1500.00 for auto - radio.

Hi Jake. I hope this is not the approach he is taking. IMO if you are going to be in the car business then have full service dealerships. Trained techs on your product etc. If the company takes this approach the credibility of product will be lost.

After talking to Mr. Elio and the people on the traveling road show I am more confident that this is a first class company. Feeling I got was that the techs would be trained up by Elio Motors and that Pep Boys / Midas would also be a showroom with lots of after market stuff. I'm going from $100. to
$1,000.

I am very sorry to hear $1000 for automatic. That may very well put the Elio beyond my reach. I know how to drive standard, my body simply works better if I drive automatic. :-( Z

That's not set in stone, zelio... I'm betting it won't be near that - if they end up having to charge for it at all.
