Perhaps they won't review it until it is in production but I think I have seen all sorts of articles on things that were still on the drawing boards or less far along than the Elio is. Perhaps if subscribers wrote in and asked what the hell was wrong and why don't you have the Elio on the cover something might happen.
Pity poor Paul Elio trying to satisfy the masses. Larryboy complains that the not yet produced Elio hasn't received coverage by magazines like Popular Science and Popular Mechanics. Ekh complains that the early coverage by Popular Mechanics has become out of date. You can't win!
I don't know that Larryboy and Ekh were complaining as much as just hoping/wanting that prominent car publications would give the Elio some recent publicity.
All this evolution reminds me of the newest motorcycle to hit the marketplace: Motus Motorcycles. The too developed their own company, marketing plan, and engine. Pretty amazing. Oh, I want one of them too!
165HP? At 1200lbs, under 10lbs/HP. Yep, I call that fun! In other FWD platforms I'd say that's almost too much HP/weight ratio. But in a 2F1R-FWD tadpole? Just enough. :-)Yes, somebody posted about that on here a while back. Would be fun to squeeze one of those engines into an Elio!
Yes, my thought is will this be another drive-by dump-and-run post? Or will you actually participate in the discussion this time? Here's another item that puzzles me about the Elio Motors saga...
