All active members are urged to participate in this thread. Mark BEX has not signed into this forum this year. He's also failed to post in his own Facebook area for an even longer period. It took a bit of doing but we've been able to find an active email address for him. I sent him a personal email at that address a week ago. The email was delivered but it has gone unanswered. With Elio gone and BEX in serious doubt, the owner of this forum is interested in suggestions from our remaining active members.

Would you be interested in changing the major topic of information. If so, what areas of interest would you suggest? The only limitations are the topic must be family friendly as they have always been.

Looking forward to seeing and discussing your suggestions.

Jim

Personally, I like the DIY thread. I find it interesting to hear what we are working on.

Being retired, I like to keep busy with little projects, car repairs and home improvements. I do enjoy hearing what others are doing and think some of the pictures posted are GREAT!!

Maybe a "What are you doing today, this week or this month?" thread.

Edited to add: More news about @LillyMayPatterson #1685 & #5648 goats, please!!

good suggestions .... whatever the anchor topic ends up being we will most certainly have other unrelated areas to accommodate other areas of interest

Don't like to be a naysayer, but.... Although I followed BEX and commented on his thread, I always felt there was something not quite right going on. I couldn't figure out what the angle was and now, although I now have a couple of ideas, I still can't be sure.

As to "owning/driving the BEX Mongrel." I doubt if I ever would have bought one. I suspect that the Chinese would have built it as cheaply as they do everything else they sell to Americans. My plan was to wait and watch for at least 2 years while others test drove them. Then, if things went well, I might have considered one.

The "bond" that held us together has been broken and it doesn't look like anyone can fix it. All I can suggest is to not be too quick closing the site. The way things are in Washington right now anything could happen. And, who knows, miricals do happen.

With the economy being very questionable in the future, perhaps a how to sell your old stuff might be of interest. Considering the tariffs and prices going up, there might be a huge market for people wanting something less costly. What to look for if buying. A forum for helping others determine what a good deal is, or how to avoid bad ones. How to basically. Home improvement suggestions. I am ok with political comments as long as they respect opposing viewpoints.

My favorite way to find bargains on everyday items is garage sales. You would not believe some of the deals I've found over the years. Just last week I bought an item in like new condition for $5 and when I got home I checked on Amazon and found it for $199.. The secret to success buying at garage sales is patience and persistence. You won't always score, but when you do... wow! :thumb:
