Not a Fed; I couldn't live with myself. I'm a 'Application Systems Engineer' (computer programmer) for Wells Fargo. The picture was taken at one of those rare times I looked OK enough to go outside. :)

Application Systems Engineer here too Drew! Did that for 20+ years, got laid off in 2012. Have been doing other computer-related jobs for the past 4 years. I'm wondering if I shouldn't get back into the programming world.

What architecture, languages, and application types do you do?

I work on the "Bank Operations Technology Support" (BOTS) team in Glen Allen. We're using an Oracle back-end, C# MVC 5 middle layer, and Knockout.js / Bootstrap for the front-end. I'm current working on a tool that will allow the bank to escheat accounts correctly. We've been working on it for a year now.

If you have the chance to get back into programming, I'd encourage you. Web technologies and the Internet of Things is where it's at! :)

WARNING! :mod: WARNING! :mod: GEEK ALERT!! :mod::mod::mod:

Step away from the current thread; and don't stare at the Sun :flame:

Geez all this Geek Speak is going to have people running from this thread (or going to do the next 25 posts that would all relate to something computer).

<Just kidding> I'm a retired geek, did it for 27+ years as my second fulltime career; first career was in Automotive till I got hurt.

Oh That SUCKS, Andrew. About the same thing happened to me many years ago ... when I was young. One thing we all learned adopting this venture is patience. Back in 7-7-2014, the team was slammed with new deposits and folks upping their deposits, like me. 7-7-2014 was the last day for the 50% deposit match then too.
LOL, 7-7-2014 was postponed to 5-31-2016, when you did the same thing. Did you get the 50% match at least? I think you best call customer service and check on it. And verify with your bank the exact date $900.00 was taken from your savings account.
"When you were young." You crack me up !!!!
