Not sure of a front wheel drive track could facilitate turns properly, but with the right amount of money , you could turn a grocery Kart into a Top Fuel Dragster .

Somebody here has an Elio "Sno-Cat" mod with a single rear ski for their avatar...Can't remember who offhand.
Hotscoots has a good point about the tracks interfering with turning, but it's still fun to think about crazy mods one could do!

I bring it up now because last time I mentioned the idea, everybody said the Elio wouldn't have the power to turn the tracks and that the idea was preposterous. But now that this video has surfaced, it seems to me the Elio could handle mattracks just as well.
Agreed, plus you can gear it where a 5hp Briggs & Scranton could run them, just not real fast or up very steep hills (downhill is another story
)

It could totaly do it! Gearing would make a huge difference though. Those mini trucks can do it with a 600cc engine, but they do have 4x4 and hi/low range.

Seems feasible, perhaps some enlargement of the wheel well might be needed. Probably would need to replace the rear wheel with a ski. Here's another UTV system that could be used.
