You sure got your money on that ride. Love to have seen the Yukon territory. I seen San Diego, awesome area. This Elio ( 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited w/5.2 eng. ) was $1,500 130k miles delivered 09/01/16 with a full tank of gas (23 gal.) and I put $1,500 in it. Drove it through 12 state's from Beloit WI., through Canada to Alaska, upper Yukon territory Canada, then to Baja South California Mexico setting up for New Orleans, Louisiana in early summer. It currently has 146+k miles and have a nice day.View attachment 22515
Hope u wasn't expecting the Elio to be your tow rig. LOLI also picked up a new rig instead of my Elio, but instead of 84 mpg it only gets 8.4 mpg. Had to replace my RV tow rig. 1997 GMC 1 ton with 454 cu inch gas engine. $2000. I have $5000 left over to buy fuel. That is 17,500 miles for free.
It would be nice if it had a towing capacity of 20,000 lb. But I think that might be asking too much. I would give up on the towing though if they would just build my Rocket silver manual transmission Elio and tell me to come pick it up in Shreveport.Hope u wasn't expecting the Elio to be your tow rig. LOL
great stuff - FFR Cobra?I've had a Elio deposit since 2013...thought the Elio would make a fun automotive play-toy...appeared to be a very cool concept...
But realistically...Paul was never able to produce even one finished production ready & spec validated prototype...it appear 150 million just evaporated due to poor fiscal controls...
No big deal...life goes on...and new play-toys are added to my garage..but probably never an Elio...
My latest has a bit of Roush engineering (just like the Elio)...
