The minute the i-Road hits the USA market it will be my & City Autoscooter. Test drivers say it's an absolute blast to drive with a grin on their faces while driving it.

Speed is to slow for other than residential areas. Most major streets near me have a speed limit of 40-45. You'd get run over by SUVs here!

Perhaps Toyota will bump the autoscooter's max mph up a notch for the USA market. The i-Road is an Urban/City commuter not a golf cart for residential use. It is what it is, an fun to drive enclosed, tilting, scooter. Obviously, the i-Road is not the & commuter vehicle for all drivers and/or all driving environments.

Will I feel safe driving my Elio dodging SUVs? No, but I plan to leave my i-Road parked in the garage and drive my Elio when warranted. I will leave both the i-Road and the Elio parked and drive the SUV on the long distance trips which has brakes so I will attempt to avoid i-Roads I pass along the way.

I guess I'll have 3 vehicles: an If, an &, and a but.

They just finished a summer long daily use test drive program by a group of average everyday drivers. Once the next Gen model rolls out, based on that testing programs reviews and recommended changes, it won't take a company like Toyota long to move it into their production cycle. I think I see a mellow i-Road in the lineup: Sweet! Target Price: $10-12K similar to their COMS EV in pricing.
