Suggestion to Paul: Sell the E1 prototype to someone like Jay Leno. The E1 isn't doing much good as it is so why not? Leno would generate interest in the Elio and it might get the funding going.

My suggestion to Paul is that he offer one of the production lines to another maker. If I recall there are four lines in the plant. It could be limited to three to five years so that by the time Elio is running on three lines the fourth would become available. That would provide the other maker with a plant they could make some money, prove their concept and get the funding they need to build their own plant. It would also provide Elio with a somewhat trained workforce to draw from. Most important, they would have income for finishing the Elio prototypes.
There was only one assembly line when I was there. There were other production lines, sure, but only one that could put the vehicles together.

Give the E1 to Leno! Tell him that you would like to have it back for the Elio museum but he can keep it until then.

I'm in until I'm driving mine, or wishing they had been made before the Company closed. As long as it has some pep to it, I wouldn't care if it only got 50 mpg, or cost Ten Thousand. I still love the concept, and I'm not getting any younger. One day I'll have to face reality and trade my Kingpin off, hopefully for my Elio. GO ELIO!!!

I would have a simple suggestion for Paul, please be more transparent in your communication.
Elio Motors lack of transparency is one of the main reasons for all of the public negativity.
Actually, quite the opposite.
The reason is plainly clear. There is no news. At all. Zero. Zilch. Nada. If there were, you would know it.
Reporting that "nothing has happened" would be simply clearly bad news, as it means nothing is going to happen.
Reporting nothing allows the endless "Santa is bringing me a pony" conjecture on this site. And allows the stock to have a value based on hopeful conjecture.

I'm in until the end. As excited as I was in the beginning (#5591) all in 1k, is as bummed as I am now. I am grateful to those of you who have kept the fire going. I am not so good at hanging in. I am a gotta get it now kinda guy. I have made myself stay through all of the information that I did and didn't understand. I still want my red Elio. So here I am and here I'll stay.
