Elio Addict
Nope. Bill needs to invest in a good public transportation system. Last thing you need to do is invest in something that people need to buy and be financed (which costs you even more). That does not help the poor out at all. Think about it. The Elio credit card has an unknown interest rate, unknown minimum payment and an unknown penalty for not making payments on time. What I see that it means is big bucks for the banks and shafting the poor. If you are poor, you will not have the $7450 plus unknown shipping charges sitting in a bank account. You have nothing and rely on lending. And thus, the crux of the problem! What we need is a Bill Gates type who wants to help the poor in this country by helping bring inexpensive, save, efficient transportation to them!
Instead, you invest in trains and buses. That way you pay as needed and can't finance it. Think about it, last time you were in a poor area, what do you see dominates the landscape? Title loans and payday check cashing. Why? Because those people need the money and it's predatory lending. Remember all of those payday loans you used to see on TV? Just Google: "Scott Tucker" and see the life of a predatory lender. He's now behind bars but he lived the life of dreams for a long time. It's even his second time behind bars too. His brother committed suicide just hours before an FBI raid of their financial records. He pretty much knew what was going to happen.
