I actually don't have a problem with Fords, I just know it's a common joke. My Ford-made Jaguar got nearly 200,000 miles before it finally had too many problems for me to deal with.

The definition of a sports car has changed drastically over the years.
When I was growing up a sports car was a 2-seat roadster.
Now they have 4 door sports sedans and even sports SUVs.
I, personally, still adhere to the "old" definition. But I'm in the minority.

The issue probably has to do with the fact that it's a Ford.

Probably some mentally defective environmentalist thought he could put diesel in it to get better mileage.

What a lot of people get confused on with Sports cars is they have been brainwashed by the media on cars that came out and were tagged "Sports type car". Looks like a sports car, but has the true inner child of an econo box.
The Toyota Celica was the one that started it.
Now when people see any car that "looks" like a sports car, in their minds, it is a sports car.
