If I need to wear a helmet to get 84 mpg (hwy) on my 50 mile commute to work, not a problem - I own half a dozen helmets already.

Not so much of a concern over helmet / no helmet...more worried if I need a motorcycle license. If we have to wear a helmet....then wouldn't we need a motorcycle license too?

True - helmet is the least of the issues, there are many available that would be really minimal and no impact to the driver. Motorcycle license is a bigger issue, although my neighbor has a big trike and doesnt need an MC license, so not really sure how that works. Mamy of us have an MC license already, so that is not an issue either, and passing a MC test in an Elio would be a breeze (and fun...now do a figure 8 please without your feet touching the ground...).
