One slight change was made in 2001 in Oregon when motorcyclists successfully got the law tweaked to allow them to pump their own gas. Presumably it was awkward having some random person stick the nozzle between the motorcyclists’ legs as they dutifully sat on their bikes waiting to be serviced.

Found the above on the internet. Since the Elio will be classified as a bike, it might be legal. :)

Come to think of it, that would be a bit disconcerting to both parties. LOL I have no desire to pump my own gas. I never minded in the past but when I became handicapped the attendants always pumped it for me. I am now used to it and rarely leave Oregon unless I am on Amtrak. I have been here since 9/09 and like the no pump, no sales tax life just fine. :p  :) Z

North Central WV here. Morgantown to be exact. (Go WVU). Unlike most, I'm only all in for 100 not 1000, but do plan to buy the elio if it gets produced and is around the price advertised.

I wear my shirt about once a week and I put the sticker on my 20 year old pickup truck. I don't have a motorcycle license. Hopefully that won't be a problem. If it is, will attempt to get it so I can still buy/drive it.

The only thing so far I'm not happy with is the gas tank on the right side. I had that before on a car and was a pain in the butt. Since then, been driving a Ford Ranger for 20 years (left side) and was hoping to never have to deal with that again. Hopefully the hose will reach across (without any damage) so I don't have to be a "prick" to everyone when filling up. I know a lot here said that's no issue and such, but I feel its up to each person to decide what is and what isn't an issue to them....

Any rate, been reading this forum and enjoying the thoughts and information. Time goes fast, so lets hope we start hearing them first owners reports before you know it.

Just wanted to add I like riding my peddle bike on the nearby bike trail. Hopefully, one way or the other, I can haul it to the bike trail with the elio.
Welcome from one bald guy to another
