North Central WV here. Morgantown to be exact. (Go WVU). Unlike most, I'm only all in for 100 not 1000, but do plan to buy the elio if it gets produced and is around the price advertised.

I wear my shirt about once a week and I put the sticker on my 20 year old pickup truck. I don't have a motorcycle license. Hopefully that won't be a problem. If it is, will attempt to get it so I can still buy/drive it.

The only thing so far I'm not happy with is the gas tank on the right side. I had that before on a car and was a pain in the butt. Since then, been driving a Ford Ranger for 20 years (left side) and was hoping to never have to deal with that again. Hopefully the hose will reach across (without any damage) so I don't have to be a "prick" to everyone when filling up. I know a lot here said that's no issue and such, but I feel its up to each person to decide what is and what isn't an issue to them....

Any rate, been reading this forum and enjoying the thoughts and information. Time goes fast, so lets hope we start hearing them first owners reports before you know it.

Just wanted to add I like riding my peddle bike on the nearby bike trail. Hopefully, one way or the other, I can haul it to the bike trail with the elio.

Hi and welcome from Oregon, BaldGuy. One thing that should help with the gas fill is the Elio is short and narrow. There should be less risk of damage when pumping gas. Of course I live in a state, or possibly the state, where it is illegal to pump your own gas so I don't have to worry about it. I hope you enjoy the forum and congratulations for going in at any level. I look forward to hearing more from you while we wait for Elio development, production and ownership. :-) Z

In my experience, full service stations still have the problem of having it on the wrong side. For example, years ago, I was with my family and we pulled into a service station and the guy dragged the hose over our trunk to get to the gas tank. This is when our car was new, and my granddad really was upset about it. When we got home, he waxed it and no damaged seemed to come from it. But was a pretty bad experience seeing that gas line over our new trunk. In fact, if anything, it may be harder to enter the wrong way in a busy full service station. Nearly like trying to drive on the wrong side of the road.

I doubt the paid gas pumpers have PhD's or anything or wouldn't be pumping gas. Could be wrong on that however. :)

I always buy my gas at Costco in Roseburg. The staff there are always courteous and helpful. In fact I would say you could successfully put them to work in any department of the store. They get a better wage than they would in most states or gas stations even elsewhere in Oregon. Costco has a reputation of paying and treating their employees well so as a result get their pick of good people. :-) Z

Does any of your current cars/trucks have the gas tank on the right side? And if so, which side you do pull into the pump on? And if you don't, what do you see others with the tank on the right side doing?
Mine is on the left although I have had them on either side on other vehicles. I pull into whatever line is the shortest. The pump hoses are high enough there is almost no contact with my Camry. The only location I did not like was behind the license plate in my mother's old caddie. The spring on the door would slam it shut on me more often than not. I did not like that at all, to say nothing of the fact that I had to bend over to pump the gas and I am short. :-) Z

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I actually been reading this board for quite a long time now, just decided to finally sign up.

Thanks for the information zelio. Hopefully whatever side they choose will be a non-issue. (although I'll sure rejoice if it turns out to be on the left).

Here in WV its just the opposite on full service. I'm not sure we have a gas station anymore that has full service. Been a very long time since I had someone pumped my gas for me.
