Hello VAfish, I'm new to this forum as we'll and also from NOVA. I too am purchasing this to drive for free on the 95 express lanes. Has it been confirmed that the Elio will be classified as a motorcycle?? I keep seeing it be referred to as an "auto cycle".

I see you have found the welcome mat and stepped right in; so a warm welcome to you also VAMack. Depends on how your state classifies it. It will be licensed as a motorcycle in all the states (I'm pretty sure) but you'll have to read the determination in the Virginia DMV to see what they say.

Thanks for the quick response, I'm praying it is and I will check now. I'm currently paying around $5600 per year for our new "express lanes" In which motorcycles ride for free. So the Elio would pay for itself in just 1 year!
