In my initial introduction, I was a little brief, therefore I will expand a little to properly introduce myself starting with my love of cars.

As you might have noticed, I’m 75 and have been around the block a few times so to speak. As such. I been privileged to experienced many changes in life that the present generation has not, the most significant being the transition from an analog to digital dominated world.

Growing up in the best generation (the fifties) ;), was the impetus for me becoming a car nut which continues to today. My first car was a 1951 Henry J which was a total piece of S***. The only good point was I only paid $15 for it. Needless to say with experience and age I made better purchases as time went by.

Fast forward to the next century, I discovered on the Internet a concept car, (the Sky roadster) and immediately fell in love with it, and best of all it had a projected price of less then 24k. Finally in the fall of 05 the Solstice (a sister roadster to the Sky) hit the market and was being gobbled up as fast as they were produced. The Sky finally came to Market in Jan 06, and I put a deposit on one in Feb, without the benefit of seeing one and test driving it at the dealer until a month later. I finally got delivery in June, and the rest as they say is history.

Today I’m going to repeat that experience with the Elio and hopefully I’ll have one before this year is out.

I will continue this autobiographical tale of me in a future post.

Dan.

Being a car nut who has had an amazing bunch of cars in the last 58 years, I fell in love with the Elio at first sight this past summer. Having been a Saturn buff for the last 20 years, I still have two, a 98 SL2 (my daily beater) and a 2007 SKY with a LS-2 400HP Mallett transplant under the hood for fun driving, I decided an Elio will make a great addition for my every day driving around town, much like the 86 Samurai I used to have. Can't wait !!!!!
