Welcome PJ! I think I'd rather pick it up in Shreveport. My mother lives in the DFW area and LOVES going to the casinos. I could fly up to DFW, ride to Shreveport with her and spend a few days with her casino hoping, then drive my new toy home. It'd probably be the first time I ever come back from Shreveport with more than I got there with. lol

Well looks like it'll be a fun time waiting this out. It'll be a blast riding the Elios around central Texas . Riding or is it driving?

I have just signed on, and one of the first things I noted was a message from a fellow Texan. Welcome, Lisa. And to Zelio, I visited your beautiful state (Portland) in February to pick up a 1969 Jaguar XJS, and as much as I love it, I am chomping at the bit to get my hands on my Elio.

You didn't even see the beautiful part of the state if you only saw Portland. I live 1 1/2 hours from Crater Lake and 1 1/2 hours from the coast. It is truly a very beautiful area with vineyards, blueberry farms (don't know if they are fields or orchards), one of the best fishing rivers in the state, Umpqua (North, South and joined), a little bit of paradise and I didn't even know it when I retired here in 2009. LOL Anyway, welcome from Oregon. Enjoy this exciting adventure and journey toward Elio production and ownerhip. Elio class of 2015 coming up! :-) Z

Definitely driving - there is a steering wheel and a seat. It also has a reverse gear which I did not understand the significance of since I never ridden a mc, Now I know why I see mc riders sitting on their bike and pushing it backwards. LOL :-) Z

What color are you getting I'm going for licorice with an automatic.

I'm still debating my color. I'm leaning towards Red Hot, but I may change my mind before they start rolling off the assembly lines. Definitely an automatic though.
